Nemsdorf is a district of the municipality Rohr in the district of Roth in Middle Franconia .

location

The village forms a closed settlement with Göckenhof to the north . The Zwieselbach , which is a left tributary of the Rednitz , flows through the village . The Wintergraben flows into the village as the right tributary of the Zwieselbach. The St. Peterholz borders in the south. In the northwest lies the mushroom line.

The district road RH 11 / SC 1 leads to Hengdorf (1 km to the west) or to Dietersdorf (1.5 km to the east). A communal road leads past Göckenhof to Eckershof (2.2 km north).

Between Dietersdorf and Nemsdorf, south of the Zwieselbachtal, between the tree line and the meadow meadow, a hiking trail leads through the nature reserve. In Nemsdorf, the signposted path at the pond of the Vierseithof follows the street Am Wintergraben. The hiking trail crosses the forest at the foot of the Rotenberg and leads to Hengdorf. The path runs north of the Zwieselbach via Kleinweismannsdorf to Großweismannsdorf .

The landscape of Nemsdorf is determined by keuper sandstone . The Keuper landscape shows a classic sequence of layers along the Zwieselbach. Bubble sandstone and Coburg sandstone from the Hassberge formation lie on the clayey Lehrberg layers of the Steigerwald formation . The flood plain is covered by Quaternary valley fillings.

On the sandstone keuper have brown earth soils developed. In the Zwieselbach floodplain, on the other hand, groundwater-influenced soils such as Gley dominate .

The place was first mentioned in 1225 as "Nemsdorf" in a letter from King Heinrich, in which he took the Nuremberg Schottenkloster St. Egidien with three fiefdoms in Nemsdorf under his protection. The place was founded much earlier, probably between 800 and 1000, by a settler named Nemoj. The more intensive settlement of the area with free farmers did not take place until the 11th and 12th centuries by Reichsministeriale of the then ruling Hohenstaufen . The spelling of Nemsdorf changed several times over the centuries: "Nemszdorff" became "Nemstorf" (1261), "Memstorf" (1340), "Nemstorff" (1425), "Niembstorff" (1530), "Nembstorff" (1548) , "Nembsdorff" (1648) and "Nembsdorf" (1801).

In the 13th century the place consisted of four whole courtyards. In 1434, five properties are listed in the margravial Salbuch for “Nemszdorff”, of which only one estate was margravial, while two other estates and two Seldengüter were owned by foreigners. In 1530 there were already nine properties, one of which belonged to the Margraviate of Ansbach, three to the imperial city of Nuremberg and five to the Nuremberg patrician family Haller von Hallerstein . In 1732 there were ten properties and one shepherd's house in Nemsdorf, according to the descriptions of the upper office by Johann Georg Vetter . Half a property was subordinate to the caste office in Schwabach , three properties to the rich alms of the imperial city of Nuremberg and six and a half properties to the Nuremberg owners ( von Ebner : one, von Haller: five and a half).

Towards the end of the 18th century, Nemsdorf and Göckenhof formed a community. In Nemsdorf there were still ten properties and a community pastor's house. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The village and township government had the imperial city of Nuremberg held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Schwabach ( ¹ ⁄ ₂ Ganzhof), the state alms office of the Imperial City of Nuremberg (1 Ganzhof, 1 Dreiviertelhof) and Nuremberg owners (von Ebner: 1 Ganzhof; von Haller: ¹ ⁄ ₂ Ganzhof, 1 Halbhof, 1 Köblergut , 4 Gütlein ). In 1801 there were thirteen properties, only one of which was subordinate to the Schwabach caste office.

As part of the municipal edict , Nemsdorf was assigned to the Regelsbach tax district , II. Section in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Regelsbach formed in 1818 . On May 1, 1978 Nemsdorf was incorporated into Rohr as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
