history

The place was first mentioned in 1413 as "Zwiselhof" as a court belonging to the court of the neck court (court for serious crimes such as murder and manslaughter) Roßtal . In 1532 the place was called "Zwisselhoff" and in 1616 "Zwiselhove". Whole families died out due to the Thirty Years' War from 1618 to 1648 and the plague. The Zwieselhof was also affected. During the Christmas season of 1626, the Zwieselhof farmer and all ten children, his mother and the day laborer family died within a few weeks. The farmer's wife was the only one left, who remarried two years later.

Towards the end of the 18th century there was only one property in Zwieselhof. The high court exercised the judge's office in Rossal . The whole yard was subordinate to the Nuremberg owner von Grundherr . In 1804 there were two subject families in the place.

As part of the municipal edict, Zwieselhof was assigned to the Regelsbach tax district , 1st section in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Regelsbach formed in 1818 . On May 1, 1978, Zwieselhof was incorporated into Rohr as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
