history

The place was conveniently located on an old street from the Carolingian era , which led from Zirndorf to Spalt . In 1295 the place was first mentioned as "Justenfelde", although it could have been founded in the 10th century. Originally, the whole place was under the Katzwang office of the Ebrach monastery . Over time, most of the properties were sold to other landlords . In 1557 only 2 farms, 1 farmstead and 1 estate were subordinate to the Katzwang office. In 1623 there were 19 properties in the village, 11 of which were subordinate to the Imperial City of Nuremberg , 4 to the Frauenaurach monastery office, 3 to the Katzwang office and 1 to the Roth caste office . In 1732 there were already 25 properties in the village, according to the descriptions of the Oberamts by Johann Georg Vetter : 7 properties were subordinate to the Frauenaurach monastery, 8 properties of the imperial city of Nuremberg ( St. Klara and Pillenreuth : 5, imperial alms: 3), 7 properties of Nuremberg owners ( from Imhoff : 4, from Vorteilel : 2, from Pömer : 1) and 3 properties to the Katzwang office.

At the end of the 18th century there were 27 properties in Gustenfelden. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . A municipality Lord , the village had not. The landlords were the Brandenburg-Bayreuth monastery office in Frauenaurach (1 whole courtyard, 1 three-quarter courtyard, 1 half courtyard, 1 half courtyard with cones, 3 Köblergüter ) the imperial city of Nuremberg (St. Klara and Pillenreuth: 2 half- courtyards, 3 Köbler estates, 1 grinding mill; state alms office: 2 whole courtyards , 1 Köblergut), the Nuremberg owners ( von Holzschuher : 1 Ganzhof, 1 Halbhof; von Imhoff: 2 Ganzhöfe, 1 Halbhof, 2 Köblergüter; von Pömer: 1 Köblergut) and the Katzwang Office of the Ebrach Monastery (1 Ganzhof, 1 Dreiviertelhof, 1 Köblergut). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, school) and ecclesiastical buildings (parish church, rectory).

In 1806 Gustenfelden came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict , it was assigned to the Regelsbach tax district , II. Section, formed in 1808 . In 1818 the rural community Gustenfelden was formed, to which the places Kottensdorf and Wildenbergen belonged. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Schwabach Regional Court and in the financial administration to the Schwabach Rent Office ( renamed Schwabach Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1862 Gustenfelden was administered by the Schwabach district office (renamed the Schwabach district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Schwabach until 1879 and from 1880 it came to the district court Schwabach . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 9,758 km².

On May 1, 1978, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the municipality of Gustenfelden was incorporated into the municipality of Rohr.

In 1406, Auxiliary Bishop Seyfried von Eichstätt consecrated an altar and granted the church a letter of indulgence. Today's Church of St. Bartholomew was built in 1487. The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The imperial city of Nuremberg had the right of patronage to appoint the pastor. Sebastian Franck held the parish office from 1527 to 1528 . In the church struggle during National Socialism , the church of Gustenfelden became the center of German Christians from Schwabach and the surrounding area, which led to the internal division of the parish. The part of the congregation belonging to the Confessing Church held its services in the branch church in Kottensdorf.
