Dechendorf is part of the municipality of Rohr in the district of Roth in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Volkach, a right tributary of the Schwabach, flows through the village . Approx. 0.5 km to the west is the Dechenwald , a community-free area, approx. 0.5 km to the south is the Mitterstück forest area, in which the Ödenberg rises ( 424  m above sea level ). Approx. The Odengraben lies 0.5 km to the east, with the Baderslohe forest behind it. Approx. The Hinterberg rises 0.5 km to the northwest and the Sachsenloh corridor area about 0.5 km to the north. Communal roads lead to Prünst (1.4 km northwest), to Volkersgau (1.8 km east) and to Albersreuth (1.5 km south).

history

Dechendorf is probably the only place in the community that existed before the Mark St. Emmeram was founded. Its roots probably go back to the 8th century, after the namesake Dago or Tacho. The old age of Dechendorf is justified with the change from the a to the e, since if the age was lower the place would probably be called Dachendorf today.

The place came into the possession of the Lords of Abenberg in the following period . The place was first mentioned in 1162 as "Tahen". Rapoto von Abenberg carried the Regensburg Bishop Hartwig II. His property a. a. in Dechendorf and got it back as a fief.

In the Salbuch of the Hochstift Eichstätt from 1300 2 goods are listed as possessions. In 1407 there were already 7 farmsteads. In 1671 there were 7 properties in Dechendorf, 5 of which were subordinate to the Abenberg caste office and 2 properties of the imperial city of Nuremberg . In 1732 there were 10 properties in Dechendorf, according to the descriptions of the Oberamts by Johann Georg Vetter , 5 of which were subordinate to the Abenberg caste office, 3 properties belonging to the Imperial City of Nuremberg ( St. Klara Monastery Office : 1, Imperial Alms: 1, Nuremberg Hospital: 1) and 2 Property owned by the Ansbach owner, Beßler.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties and a community shepherd's house in Dechendorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The rulership of the village and community was disputed between the caste office in Schwabach and the caste office in Abenberg. Landlord the box office Schwabach (2/2 yards, 1 Gütlein with inn) which eichstättische Box Office Abenberg were (1 Ganzhof, 3/2 yards, 1 Köblergut ) and the city of Nuremberg (Landes alms Office: 1 Köblergut; Official St. Catherine : 1 Ganzhof; Mendelian Twelve Brothers Foundation : 1 half yard).

As part of the community edict, Dechendorf was assigned to the Rohr tax district , Section II , in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Prünst formed in 1818 . On May 1, 1978 Dechendorf was incorporated into Rohr as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

religion

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The Eichstatt subjects were parish to St. Bartholmäus (Barthelmesaurach) , the Ansbach and Nuremberg subjects to St. Emmeram (Rohr) . Since the early 19th century, all residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination have parish in St. Emmeram.
