geography

The Limbach rises near the village and is a right tributary of the Schwabach . The place is surrounded all around by meadows: in the southwest "Altstadel", in the northwest "Haberleite", in the northeast "Langstrich" and in the southeast "Schneckenleite". Municipal roads lead to Leuzdorf on State Road 2239 (2.2 km north), to Dechendorf (1.4 km southeast), to Putzenreuth (2 km east) and to Gaulnhofen (1.8 km west).

history

Prünst was created during the high medieval development of the country. The name is derived from Brunst , an old name for slash and burn . There was originally a resident knight family in the village. The lords of Prünst were probably a subsidiary of the lords of Rohr . A death shield from 1410 in the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg commemorates the Prünster family.

In the 13th century the place consisted of 7 whole courtyards. In 1282 the place is mentioned for the first time in a document as "Brunst", in which Ramung IV. Von Kammerstein from Regensburg's Emmeramskloster received a tithe and two hubs as a fief. As early as 1292 he gave this fief back to the monastery. In 1294 there was an exchange of goods between the Regensburg and Eichstätter bishops, whereby this fief came to the Spalter collegiate monastery of St. Nikolaus in 1295 . In the year 1300 the place was mentioned in the Salbuch of the Hochstift Eichstätt as "Brv o nst". At that time it had a hat in the place . In addition, the Burgraviate of Nuremberg , succeeded by the Margraviate of Ansbach , was wealthy. In the Margravial Salbuch of 1434, 5 estates, 2 Selden estates and the shepherd's house were recorded as property . In the Salbuch of 1530 the place was listed as "Windischen Brunst", according to which the place would be a Wendensiedlung . At that time there were 12 properties, 9 of which were margravial (4 courtyards, 2 estates, 1 fiefdom, 1 third manor and 1 house), 2 courtyards Nuremberg ( St. Katharinakloster : 1, Kreß von Kressenstein : 1) and 1 courtyard Eichstättisch-Abenbergisch. In 1732 there were 14 properties in Prünst, according to the descriptions of the Oberamts by Johann Georg Vetter , 11 of which were subordinate to the Schwabach caste office , 1 property to the St. Katharina monastery office, 1 property to the Nuremberg owner von Kreß and 1 property to the Abenberg caste office .

At the end of the 18th century there were 16 properties in Prünst. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The caste office Schwabach held the village and community rulership. The landlords were the Kastenamt Schwabach (3 whole farms, 4 half farms, 4 Köbler estates, 1 estate with an inn, 1 little farm with forge), the Kastenamt Abenberg (1 three-quarter courtyard), the St. Katharina's office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (1 whole courtyard) and the Nuremberg owner Kreß von Kressenstein (1 whole yard). In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, shepherd's house). In 1802 there were 17 properties in the village.

In 1806 Prünst came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, the Rohr tax district , II. Section, was formed in 1808 , to which Dechendorf , Gaulnhofen , Leuzdorf and Prünst belonged. In 1818 the rural community of Prünst was formed, which was congruent with the tax district. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Schwabach Regional Court and in the financial administration to the Schwabach Rent Office ( renamed Schwabach Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1862 Prünst was administered by the Schwabach District Office (renamed the Schwabach District in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Schwabach until 1879 and from 1880 it came to the district court Schwabach . The municipality originally had an area of 14.939 km². In 1960, an area of approximately 1 km² was ceded to the newly formed municipality of Volkersgau , so that the area was reduced to 13.228 km².

On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Prünst was incorporated into the municipality of Rohr as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
