history
The Göckenhof was originally part of the Nemsdorf settlement. It was later moved north. He was first mentioned by name in 1623. In 1732 there was a property in Göckenhof, according to the descriptions of Johann Georg Vetter . The property was subordinate to the Nuremberg owner von Haller . Towards the end of the 18th century, Nemsdorf and Göckenhof formed a community. There was a property in Göckenhof. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Schwabach . The court continued to have the Nuremberg owner von Haller as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, Göckenhof was given house number 4 in the town of Nemsdorf.
As part of the municipal edict, Göckenhof was assigned to the Regelsbach tax district , Section II , in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Regelsbach formed in 1818 .
A station and flak positions simulated with lighting fixtures in the Nemsdorfer Flur during the Second World War were intended to distract the attacking enemy aircraft from Nuremberg. However, on January 2 and February 20, 1945, enemy planes dropped several incendiary and high-explosive bombs near Göckenhof, which caused a fire in the Lösel property, caused considerable damage to the buildings and left deep bomb craters in the fields. Seventeen displaced families and two local families began building an agricultural part-time settlement in Göckenhof in 1960, which has been significantly expanded in recent years.
On May 1, 1978 Göckenhof was incorporated into Rohr as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
