from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tour of Hangzhou (dt. Hangzhou Tour ) was a planned Chinese road race , which in the area of the city Hangzhou should have been organized.

The stage race was to be held for the first time in October 2012 over five sections and form the conclusion of the UCI World Tour 2012 . Besides the Tour of Beijing , the race would have been the only Asian race in the highest category. The race was also given a World Tour license for the next three years. The race was canceled by the UCI because the standards of a WorldTour race in 2012 could not be met.

After the race was supposed to take place from October 9th to 13th as a new stage race of the UCI World Tour 2013 , it was also deleted from the calendar in 2013 by the UCI in February 2013.
