Tour of Iran

The Tour of Iran (formerly Azerbaïjan Tour , German Azerbaijan Tour ) is an Iranian road bike race .

The stage race was held for the first time in 1986 and has been held annually in May since then. The venue is the Iranian region of Āzarbāydschān . The competition is part of the UCI Asia Tour and is classified in category 2.2. The race has been running under the name Tour of Iran since 2013. The Iranian Ghader Mizbani , who won the race seven times, was able to achieve the most victories .

Starting in 2014, the race is classified in category 2.1 .
