Dmitri Anatoljewitsch Sokolow ( Russian Дмитрий Анатольевич Соколов ; born March 19, 1988 ) is a Russian cyclist.

Dmitry Sokolov was founded in 2005 in Moscow European Champion in the time trial of the junior class. The following year he won the first stage of the Trofeo Karlsberg to Mandelbachtal and came second in the overall standings. At the European Championships in Valkenburg he was able to defend his title from the previous year. He was also successful in 2006 on a section of the Giro di Basilicata. In the 2007 season Sokolow was the Russian U23 time trial champion and at the World Championships in Stuttgart he finished eleventh in the time trial.

Sokolov was nominated to participate in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but was then expelled along with Dmitri Strachow and Kirill Sveshnikov after their names were listed in the McLaren Report on systematic doping of Russian athletes. Appeals by the athletes against this exclusion at the International Court of Justice (CAS) were unsuccessful. In September 2017, the three athletes filed a lawsuit against McLaren, the world anti-doping agency WADA and the Russian laboratory manager Grigori Rodchenkov at the Ontario Superior Court (McLaren is Canadian), demanding seven million dollars in compensation for pain and suffering. The exclusion was due to a hasty investigation and caused great damage to their reputation.

In October 2017, Sokolow won the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the European Railway Championships together with Alexander Evtuschenko , Mamyr Stasch and Alexei Kurbatow . In 2018 he won the Tour of Iran .
