Dmitri Wladimirowitsch Strachow ( Russian Дмитрий Владимирович Страхов , English transcription Dmitry Strakhov ; born May 17, 1995 in Vyborg ) is a Russian cyclist who competes on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2012 and 2013 , Dmitri Strachow was one of the Russian junior four-wheelers who won a bronze medal at the world championships. Also in 2013 he won the team pursuit with Timor Gizzatullin, Sergei Mosin and Andrei Prostokschin European Junior Champion .

In 2016, Strachow received a contract with Lokosphinx and the following year he was ranked fourth overall at the Vuelta a la Comunidad de Madrid . In mid-2018 he moved to the Katusha Alpecin team . In the same year he won the Classica da Arrabida , two stages of the Volta ao Alentejo , one stage of the Tour of Asturias and the overall ranking of the GP Beiras e Serra da Estrela . He was also eighth in the Tour of Britain and ninth in the Arctic Race of Norway .

At the end of February 2020, Strachow started the UAE Tour in Dubai and - like other racing drivers - got infected with COVID-19 . He has been quarantined .
