The Toyota 1ZZ-FE is an engine that was built in Cambridge, Ontario . Production stopped in December 2007.

Specifications

The displacement of the water-cooled 4-cylinder 4-stroke in-line engine with 16 valves is 1794 cm³. The bore is 79 mm, the stroke 91.5 mm with a compression of 10.0 to 1. Depending on the model, the output is between 120 HP (89 kW) at 5600 rpm and a torque of 165 Nm at 4400 rpm and 140 PS (104 kW) at 6400 rpm and a torque of 171 Nm at 4200 rpm. The engine block and cylinder head are made of aluminum. Further features are multi-point injection and, in later versions, variable valve timing (VVT-i) through two overhead camshafts that are driven by a timing chain. The aim of the developers was a lightweight, powerful and economical unit.

The 1ZZ-FED is identical to the 1ZZ-FE, but was built in Shimoyama, Japan. The output was 104 kW (140 PS) at 6400 rpm and 171 Nm torque at 4200 rpm (Celica S 143 PS).
