Tracktor Bowling is a Russian alternative / nu-metal band from Moscow , Russia .

history

Originally founded in 1996, Tracktor Bowling entered the Russian hard rock scene with a new style . Changes in musical style and line-up followed. The first demo plate , Mutation / Mutazija (2000) and its presentation were successful. There have been several shows where Tracktor Bowling achieved their status as the leading band in Moscow's alternative rock scene.

The debut album, Breaking Through / Naprolom (2002) made Tracktor Bowling a star at the biggest alternative rock festivals in Russia. The next album, The Edge / Tscherta , came out in early 2005. This was followed by the “The Edge Tour 2005” across Russia and shows at the largest Russian rock festivals.

The band has been nominated in various Russian alternative music awards in all categories. In different years Tracktor Bowling has been recognized as the best live rock band in Russia. Three English-language songs appeared on the new EP It's Time To… on MySpace .

The third album, Walkin On Glass / Shagi Po Steklu , with 16 new songs was released in 2006. The album had a new sound quality, which was achieved through the recording in Finland by Mikko Herranen. Together with the new album Tracktor Bowling went on the "Walking On Glass Tour 2006". The band performed more than any other alternative band had ever done. Many Tracktor bowling fan clubs have sprung up in Russia and other CIS countries. In November 2006, the band won the most important nominations for the Russian Alternative Music Prize , becoming the best alternative band from 2005-2006.

In December 2006, Tracktor Bowling presented their new acoustic album Half A Year Till The Spring ( Polgoda Do Wesny ) which features both new songs and old hits. On September 24, 2009, the new single Ni schagu nasad was released on the Internet.
