Tracy L. Garrett

Tracy L. Garrett is Brigadier General of the US Marine Corps ( Reserve ) and, since September 30, 2008, has been in command of the US Marine Corps Forces Europe (MARFOREUR), the marine infantry component of the US European Command (EUCOM). Since November 18 of the same year, she has also assumed command of the Marine Corps Forces Africa , the marine infantry component of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), which, like MARFOREUR, has its headquarters in the armored barracks in Böblingen near Stuttgart .

Tracy Garrett studied English as an NROTC student at the University of Washington and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts . She has been a member of the US Marine Corps since 1978.

On January 15, 2009, she was nominated for a major general promotion .
