Transisalanus Adolphus Baron van Voorst dead Hagenvoorde van Bergentheim (* July 1651 at Hagenvoorde Castle, † June 11, 1707 in The Hague ) was a Dutch nobleman, Orange courtier and politician.

biography

Transisalanus Adolphus arose from the Van Voorst tot Voorst family . His parents were Hiddo van Voorst dead Hagenvoorde and Joanna van Haersolte . He carried the titles of Baron van Voorst, Vrijheer der Hohen Herrlichkeit Jaarsveld , Heer von Hagenvoorde, Wenerhold, Egede and Wenaert. Transisalanus Adolphus was a godchild of the knighthood and cities of Overijssel and named after Overijssel (= Transisalanus).

Van Voorst tot Hagenvoorde van Bergentheim began his career as a page for governor Wilhelm III. of Orange . In 1673 he became 'ordinaris edelman' and in 1681 Hofmeister . In the same year he married Arnoldina de Graeff . There were no descendants from this marriage. Van Voorst was considered one of the most influential courtiers of the Orange. He had other offices as Marshal of the Eemlands , lieutenant governor of Gorinchem and the Land of Arkel . In 1688 he accompanied King Wilhelm III. and Maria Stuart to England. In 1689 Van Voorst became a member of the Dutch knighthood and councilor in the Raad van State .

Van Voorst's grave monument is in the Reformed Church of Wijhe . It was made by Jan Mast in 1707 .
