The Trappistinnenkloster Kibungo , official name Soeurs Trappistines is, since 2000, a monastery of Trappist nuns in Kibungo in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kibungo in Rwanda .

history

Rwandan sisters from the Trappist Abbey of Clarté-Dieu , who had not been safe there since 1996 and who had mostly fled to Igny Monastery , founded a new monastery in Kibungo in 2000, which became an independent priory in 2002 . The founding bishop was Frédéric Rubwejanga .
