Treiaharde

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Treiaharde ( Danish : Treja Herred ) was a harde in Schleswig .

The Treiaharde, which at first apparently was subordinate to the Bishop of Schleswig , was created in the 12th century. It got its name from the parish of Treia , the only parish of the Harde. The harde also included the bishop's residences and villages near Flensburg. These possessions were apparently with Husby , Eggebek and Jörl . The village of Hüllerup near Handewitt was also under the jurisdiction of the bishop.

The Treiharde belonged to the Schwabstedt office for a long time and later to the Gottorf office .
