Treibhaus was a German band from Hanover . The band's music is in the area of New German Hardship .

history

Curt Doernberg founded the band in 2004 together with a few other musicians. Before that, Doernberg had already played as a drummer in several bands. The band's first line-up included Kai Rudat, who had already played a part in Welle: Erdball as a singer.

In 2005 the debut album Immortal was released , which was released on the Danse Macabre label, first in Germany, later also in Ukraine , Russia and Belarus .

The second album Feindbild was released in 2006 and went straight from zero to number 10 in the German alternative charts. In the same year, drummer Mattias Liebetruth, who had been with the band since the band was founded, was replaced by Michael Wolpers.

In 2007 the band shot their first video clip for the song Maschinen from their second album Feindbild . Founding member Ulli Wellhausen left the band in October 2007. He was replaced by Klaus Alberti on bass. At the end of 2007, horror filmmaker Michael Effenberger became aware of the band and incorporated both the music and the video for the song Maschinen in his film Infekt - How does the end of the world look like .

In 2008 the band released their third album Red Alert . On this album, the band reinterpreted the children's song Pippi Longstocking .

In 2009 the band's first live album, TREIBHAUS live in Hanover , was released. Since the technology failed several times during the recording, not all tracks could be recorded completely, which is why only part of the setlist made it onto the album.

In early 2011, the fourth album called Alphatier was released. The album is distributed throughout Europe and the USA (via CD Baby ) and worldwide as a download . In the meantime, the band's online presence has gone offline and there is no other current information available, which is why Treibhaus has been classified as inactive since 2013.
