action

An unknown influenza pathogen is rampant in Germany and kills entire sections of the population. The virus will eventually develop into a global disease; Chaos, calamity and ruin go along with it. After their death , the infected mutate into instinct-driven zombies who crave human flesh and stalk the living.

A four-person, motley group of survivors marches through the rural province to a place called “Citadel”, a supposed contact point for all those who are not infected in the area. The quartet follows the coordinates of a radio message. On the way they are attacked several times by the living dead. The sporty Ben is bitten and infected by a bloodthirsty creature. A short time later, Ben's physical decline begins, which ultimately ends with Ben's death. As a revenant, he is then killed by the remaining trio around Timo, Samson and Sabrina.

Ultimately, the three of them reach the supposed refuge, which in the further course of the story turns out to be a run-down mental hospital . The seedy Elena, a patient of the clinic, welcomes the unsuspecting visitors. Immediately bizarre things happen. The guests realize that Elena must have lured them into a trap in order to provide food for her moronic brother, who is chained to the wall - a cannibal. Combat operations follow. Elena is overwhelmed and killed. At a different time, the ogre breaks free and starts the hunt for the survivors. In the end, Timo and Sabrina use the mess to escape, while the injured Samson engages in a duel with Elena's brother.
