The Trenntsee is about three kilometers east of the town of Sternberg , to whose urban area the lake also belongs. It is part of the Sternberg lake landscape . The banks are usually difficult to reach and rich in reeds . The lake is connected to the Great Sternberger See and the Gross Radener See in the north via narrow passages . The lake is not very indented and is 1.5 kilometers long and 1.2 kilometers wide. There are two smaller islands in the lake. The federal highway 104 runs near the south bank .
