Tri-Mountain State Park is a remote state park in the US state of Connecticut in the area of the Wallingford and Durham parishes .
geography
The park includes portions of Fowler Mountain and the Trimountain . The two hills each rise up to 250 m (750 ft) above sea level . They are part of the Metacomet Ridge . The park is only accessible via the Mattabesett Trail and is separated to the west by a narrow strip of land from the protected area of the William J Ulbrich Reservoir . To the south, Howd Road separates the area from Pistapaug Pond . The park's waters generally flow south, such as Sawmill Brook and Parmalee Brook .
