Triage X ( Japanese ト リ ア ー ジ XToriāji X , [ triˈɑːʒ iks ]) is a manga series by Shōji Satō that appears monthly in Dragon Age and for which an anime television series has been released from April 2015 .

action

The terminally ill and wheelchair-bound clinic director Masamune Mochizuki ( 望月 正宗 ), whose son was killed in a terrorist attack, founded the secret organization Black Label with the aim of bringing criminals whom the state cannot or does not want to prosecute to justice. After a background check (“ triage ”) , the organization takes care of those incurable cases (black label for triage) that represent cancer in society in order to prevent it from spreading.

The organization includes the 17-year-old Arashi Mikami ( 三 神 嵐 ), who was also seriously injured in the aforementioned terrorist attack, but received the organs from Mochizuki's son and therefore helps the doctor; his schoolmate Mikoto Kiba ( 木 場 美琴 ), who comes from a Yakuza family, but who lost her brother and father in an attack by a hostile family, was seriously injured and was resuscitated by Mochizuki; the 14-year-old idol Oriha Nashida ( 梨 田 織 葉 ), whose mother died while giving birth and is responsible for “ en bloc resections ”, d. H. is the organization's explosives expert; the chief physician Yūko Sagiri ( 狭 霧 友 子 ), who is a sword master; the anesthetist Miki Tsurugi ( 剣 光 姫 ) as chemist and sniper of the organization; as well as the chief nurse Sayo Hitsugi ( 柩 小 夜 ) who is a close combat expert with superhuman strength.

publication

The manga is drawn by Shōji Satō and has been published since April 9, 2009 (issue 5/2009) in the Dragon Age magazine published by Fujimi Shobō . The chapters have also been summarized in 21 anthologies ( Tankōbon ) so far (as of July 2020) . It is Satō's longest work. A Blu-ray with a bonus anime sequence was included as an extra for the 12th volume. As a tribute to Satō, a special volume Triage X: Comic Anthology: Tribute X ( ト リ ア ー ジ X ア ン ソ ロ ジ ー コ ミ ッ ク ト リ ビ ュ ト X ) was published, in which other Mangaka drew short stories with the characters from Triage X.

In the USA the manga is published by Yen Press (19 volumes, volume 20 will be published in autumn / winter 2020, as of July 12, 2020) and in France by Pika Édition (also 19 volumes). Carlsen Manga has published 18 volumes so far in German-speaking countries , Volume 19 is announced for the end of August 2020, Volume 20 is announced for the end of February 2021. The special volume Triage X Tribute was also published in February 2018 .

Anime

Studio Xebec adapted the manga as an anime television series. Directed by Akio Takami and Takao Katō , the former as with Maken-ki! Tsū adapted the character design for the anime. The 10 episodes of the series were broadcast from April 9 to June 11, 2015 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) on Tokyo MX, as well as on Sun TV , TVQ Kyūshū , Chiba TV , TV Kanagawa , with an offset of up to a few days . TV Saitama , Gifu Hōsō , Mie TV and BS11 . The limited edition of the 12th Manga volume from November 9, 2015 was accompanied by another bonus episode ( OVA ).

Crunchyroll showed the series parallel to the Japanese premiere with English subtitles in North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Europe except Germany. The German publisher Kazé Deutschland secured the rights to the series in March 2015.

The series ran on German television from April 7, 2017 and January 19, 2018 as part of the ProSieben Maxx Animenacht.

The German dubbing was done in 2015 at the dubbing company TNT Media GmbH in Berlin . The dialogue books were written by Philip Süß and Katharina von Daake . Velin Marcone directed the dialogue .

The opening credits triage is sung by " Zōgō Saeko featuring Nagarede Project " and the credits are Soleil More ( ソ レ ー ユ ・ モ ア , Sorēyu Moa ) by Kazutomi Yamamoto. In addition, Big Bang Love is sung by Amina Satō under her role name.
