The triangle is a genital piercing for women . It runs through the clitoral hood below the clitoris .
history
The triangle is a culturally relatively new piercing . The idea for the piercing comes from Lou Duff , co-founder of the Gauntlet piercing studio. He carried it out for the first time in 1991, the piercing was then published in the PFIQ in the early 1990s .
position
It runs quite deep below the clitoris horizontally through the clitoral hood at the point where the clitoral hood merges into the labia minora . This point resembles a triangle, from which the name of the piercing is derived ( triangle for "triangle").
Sting
The piercing can only be done if the anatomical requirements are met. Specifically, this means that there must be enough tissue below the clitoris so that there is enough space for the jewelry. The area to be pierced should be so pronounced that it can be pressed together with your thumb and forefinger. If the outer labia are very pronounced, the piercing may be uncomfortable to wear as it is permanently twisted and pinched.
