The Trigonella Bluff (English for triangle cliff ) is a 1245 m high and triangular in its base cliff in the Admiralty mountains in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 10 miles west of Football Mountain on the northern flank of the Tucker Glacier .
Scientists from a campaign carried out from 1957 to 1958 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition , who had set up a station for triangulation measurements on the cliff , used the descriptive name.
