Trilochan Shastri

Trilochan Shastri ( Hindi : त्रिलोचन शास्त्री, Trilocan Śāstrī ; born August 20, 1917 in Sultanpur , Uttar Pradesh ; † December 9, 2007 in New Delhi ) was a Hindi-speaking Indian poet, writer and political activist.

His most famous works are the poetry collections Jeene ki Kala , Dingat and Dharti . He also wrote a collection of stories called Deshkal .

He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1982 and the Shalaka Puraskaar in 1989 and 1990 .

Trilochan Shastri has been politically active since the Indian struggle for independence, for example he was temporarily chairman of the Jan Sanskriti Manch (JSM), the cultural organization of the CPI (ML) Liberation , with which he sympathized and a supporter of the peasant and landless movement in India.
