Trine Nielsen (born October 16, 1980 ; born Trine Jensen ) is a former Danish handball player .

Trine Nielsen started playing handball at HEI Skæring, for which her brother Jesper Jensen was also active. Her next two positions were Brabrand IF and Ikast-Bording EH . With Ikast-Bording, the left-hander won the EHF Cup in 2002 . In 2004 Nielsen moved to league rivals Aalborg DH . After only one year in Aalborg, she joined GOG Svendborg TGI . In 2009, the back player ended her career after various knee operations. In 2011 Nielsen was reactivated by the Danish first division club HC Odense . In May 2012, she extended her contract until the end of the 2012/13 season. Then she ended her career.

Trine Nielsen has made 54 appearances for Denmark , scoring 87 goals. With the Danish selection, she won the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games . Two years earlier she was European champion .
