description
The neo-Gothic church is at the end of Leven Street in the south of the city. The red sandstone building has a T-shaped floor plan, with the bell tower at the beginning of the nave. The building dates from 1891 and 1892 and was designed by architects H. and D. Barclay. The two-winged pointed arch portal is located in the middle at the foot of the tower. Above this, there are individual lancet windows on three sides of the first floor and two twin lancet windows on all sides on the third floor. Just like the edges of the building, the windows are set off with roughly hewn, raised sandstone and in some cases with roofs . The tower closes with a crenellated reinforcement surrounded by corner turrets. The gable surface of the adjoining nave is worked as a stepped gable . Wide lancet windows are arranged along the two side facades on four vertical axes. Another large pointed arch window is built into the front of the ship. There are three windows on either side of the transept.
