Tronstadhallet

Tronstadhallet ( Norwegian ) is a glacier slope in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It lies between the southern part of the Schirmacher-Oase and the Lingetoppane in the eastern part of the Fimbulheimen .

Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it after the Norwegian chemist Leif Tronstad (1903–1945), who was instrumental in the heavy water sabotage in the Norwegian resistance to the German occupation of Norway in World War II .
