Trophies de la musique au Mali

The Trophées de la Musique au Mali (Tamani) are an award-winning music festival that has been taking place in Bamako , Mali , Africa since 2003 . They are organized by Seydoni Mali and the Association for the Promotion of African Music (French: L'Association pour la Promotion de la Musique en Afrique) .

Concerts are held every evening during the festival. Workshop talks, meetings between young artists and producers as well as press conferences take place in the vicinity. Prizes are awarded in eight categories, the Tamanis:

  • Best traditional music
  • Discovery of the year
  • Best artist
  • Best artist
  • Best video clip of the year
  • Best rap group in Mali
  • Best radio presenter
  • Best Artist of the Year (Tamani d'or - Golden Tamani)

In addition, additional categories are added every year or honorary prizes are awarded.
