Tropical climate change

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A tropical climate can be found in thorn bush, dry and damp savannas . It is characterized by an alternation between dry and rainy seasons . The dry season in winter is characterized by dry trade winds and the rainy season in summer is influenced by the intra-tropical convergence zone (ITC). The temperature is high all year round and has two maxima. Precipitation only falls in the rainy season.

climate

Since the temperature differences between day and night are greater than the temperature differences between the individual months, the daytime climate prevails in the zone of the tropical climate . The temperatures are high all year round and have two maxima (around April / May and October). The rainy season is in summer (June – September), as the maximum precipitation is reached in summer, while in winter (November – February) no or hardly any precipitation falls ( dry season ). In addition, the length of the rainy season decreases towards the tropics , while towards the equator there are even rainy seasons with two precipitation maxima. Depending on the length of the rainy season, the vegetation also changes. The reason for the length of the rainy seasons is due to the migration of the Innertropical Convergence Zone (ITC). Areas closer to the equator are covered twice by the ITC (on the way to the tropic and on the way back). That is why there are two maximum precipitation levels in Bondoukou .

vegetation

The vegetation zone belonging to the tropical climate change is the savannah , which is again divided into 3 parts: dry savannah , wet savannah and the thorn (bush) savannah .
