Troyff is the name of an originally Jülischen , later Saxon and Württemberg , baronial noble family .
history
The family presumably originating from Westphalia and later mainly spread in Meißnischen , is said to have been mentioned for the first time in 1176 with the knight Hans Troyffow, who was in the service of Otto the Rich . The continuous line of trunks begins with Ernst von Troyff (1435–1493). In 1828 the family in Württemberg was recognized as a baron.
