GAC Trumpchi
GAC Trumpchi is a sub-brand from the People's Republic of China .
Brand history
Guangzhou Automobile Group from Guangzhou had been planning to introduce another car brand since 2008. The first model went into production in 2010 with the GAC Trumpchi based on the Alfa Romeo 166 .
Origin of name
The name of the brand is derived from the Chinese term for legendary and was translated into Trump for tone color . The syllable chi was added to mark the Chinese roots . Due to the election of Donald Trump as US President, the name is to be changed until the market launch in the United States in 2019.

Cars and SUVs are on offer . The first model was based on the platform of the Alfa Romeo 166. The GA 5 REV has a hybrid drive .
The car catalog of the model year 2020 lists the car models GA 3 , GA 4 , GA 6 and GA 8 , as well as SUV models OR 3 , OR 4 , OR 4 coupe , OR 5 , OR 7 and OR 8 . In addition, the GE 3 is an electric SUV and the GM 6 and GM 8 are two vans .
