The GAC Trumpchi GA 3 is a sedan of the compact class of the sub-brand GAC Trumpchi of Chinese Guangzhou Automobile Group .
history
The vehicle was presented to the public for the first time at the Shanghai Auto Show 2013. In July 2013, delivery of the GA 3 started in China . In August 2014, GAC Trumpchi launched the GAC Trumpchi GA 3S, a sports version . A variant with a plug-in hybrid drive was also available from spring 2017 . The limousine is not available outside of China.
Technical specifications
The GA 3 is powered exclusively by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with intake manifold injection and 90 kW (122 hp). A supercharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 101 kW (137 hp) is also available for the GA 3S .
The plug-in hybrid introduced in 2017 is powered by a 71 kW (97 PS) 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine in combination with a 130 kW (177 PS) electric motor. The battery has a capacity of 12 kWh, and the manufacturer specifies an electric range of 60 km.
