content

With the American Maximumrocknroll -Fanzine as a model, the Fanzine Trust first appeared in 1986. Similar to how the Maximumrocknroll networked the global punk scene, the Trust started with the aim of networking the German punk and hardcore scene through a print medium that was published regularly for the first time. Members of the founding crew were Thomasso Schultze, Mitch Alber, Armin Hofman, Dolf Hermannstädter, Anne Ullrich and Moses Arndt (who left the Trust in 1988 to publish his own Fanzine Zap ). Dolf Hermannstädter has been the editor of the fanzine since Trust # 1/1986. It has been published every two months since 1986. The magazine has also been available at station dealers for around 10 years.

The magazine deals with all kinds of underground music styles, with a focus on punk , hardcore punk and alternative rock and reports on lesser - known artists outside the mainstream. Successful artists like At The Drive-In, Nirvana, The Gossip and many others were later supported by the Trust long before their big breakthrough. In addition to detailed interviews, each issue also has background articles from the music industry , politics, animal rights and independent scene. As usual in the punk area, the magazine contains personal columns from the employees and an extensive review section. There is an archive of interviews from the history of the Trust on the magazine's homepage.

In 1987 a photo zine was published in collaboration with the largest American punk fanzine Maximumrocknroll. A compilation was released for the 10th anniversary, which included Fischmob , Guts Pie Earshot and Trümmer sind Steine der Hope .
