Trutzhofmühle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Trutzhofmühle is now part of the Upper Palatinate town of Pleystein in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district ; here the hammer used to be under the Bartlmühle . The work was driven by the water of the Zottbach .

history

The Trutzhof was built in 1615 by the resident of the Pleystein castle, Tobias Schubart. It lay on a hill above and partly directly on the Zott brook. There was also an iron hammer here, which was built around 1518 by Erhard von Reitzenstein , a citizen of the castle . The hammer mill did not last long, because according to a report by the Pleystein nurse Jobst von Thandorf, the hammer estate was already deserted in 1531.

The Trutzhofmühle was built in 1852. It goes back to the miller Anton Schreml, born on October 11, 1821 in Hagenmühle . He married Margaretha Bär von Vöslesrieth on August 3, 1847 . At first it was owned by the town mill in Pleystein, but it only had one grind and had difficulty getting water. Therefore he made the decision to build a new mill on the Zott. The parish administrator Troßner leveled the area and he was able to build a new mill despite the resistance of several residents. The factory was equipped with two aisles. After the mill had a good yield, Schreml also built a grinding and polishing plant here . He was succeeded by his son Anton (born October 15, 1858).
