Tsai Chin ( Chinese  周采芹 , Pinyin Zhōu Cǎiqín , W.-G. Chou Ts'ai-ch'in ; born November 30, 1936 in Tianjin , Republic of China ) is a British actress and writer of Chinese origin.

Life

Tsai Chin is the daughter of the Beijing Opera’s most famous actor at the time , Zhou Xinfang, and the sister of Michael Chow , the owner of the famous restaurant “Mr. Chow ". She is also the aunt of the actress and model China Chow and her brother Maximillian, the children of Michael Chow and his ex-wife Tina Chow . She used to live in Shanghai . She had two short marriages. She was the first Chinese woman to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in 1951 .

Tsai Chin played her most famous role as Lin Tang - the daughter of Dr. Fu Man Chu - in the five Fu Manchu films by producer Harry Alan Towers . She was also known for the role of the bond girl Ling in the movie You Only Live Twice , in which her brother also played. She was also seen in the James Bond film Casino Royale (2006). She is also the author of the book Daughter of Shanghai .
