The revenge of Dr. Fu Man Chu is the third film in the Dr. Fu Man Chu series by British producer Harry Alan Towers .

action

Dr. Fu Man Chu and his daughter Lin Tang are carried in litters to their palace in Kuangsu. Four of Fu Man Chu's opponents are punished there: three are killed, one hypnotized. The missionary Dr. Lieberson to look like Fu Man Chu's archenemy Nayland Smith. Dr. Lieberson gives up his initial opposition to the operation after his daughter Maria is tortured.

Nayland Smith, however, who has no idea that Dr. Fu Man Chu is still alive and goes to Paris for the founding conference of Interpol. There he learned from FBI man Mark Weston that Ronald Moss is traveling from San Francisco to Shanghai to unite global criminal organizations under an Asian boss. Nayland Smith switched on Inspector Ramos in Shanghai and took Dr. Petrie vacation in Ireland. Once there, Fu Man Chu's people exchange him for his doppelganger. He later murders Nayland Smith's maid Jasmin in London and is sentenced to death for it.

In the meantime, not only Ronald Moss, but also his former friends Ingrid Swenson and Kurt Heller have arrived at Fu Man Chu's palace. Dr. Fu Man Chu announces his plan to kidnap and kill all the world's major police chiefs in his palace while their doppelgangers commit murders for which they are simultaneously executed under the law. Kurt Heller, who is to be operated on to a doppelganger of the Berlin commissioner Strauss, is held prisoner together with Ingrid Swenson. The prisoners (including the real Nayland Smith) manage to escape from the palace with the help of Mark Weston and Inspector Ramos before it is blown up. Dr. Fu Man Chu and his daughter survived this demolition.

criticism

Lexicon of international film : Trivial adventure cinema with horror film elements. The New York Times concluded: "A lot of back-and-forth, no blood, great for children" and saw a movie that the "meets the technology and the sound of the old thriller perfect, without lapsing into modern know-it." Evangelical Film observer remarks succinctly that this is "a completely indisputable production".

Remarks

The film is based on a novel by Sax Rohmer . In the United States it was shown by Warner Brothers as the second film in a double program in black and white. The producer Harry Alan Towers wrote the script under the pseudonym Peter Welbeck.

Samantha Jones sings the movie songs "The Real Me" and "Where Are the Men" .
