Suzanne Roquette

Suzanne Roquette (born August 30, 1942 in Weimar , Thuringia ; † May 28, 2020 in Croydon , England ) was a German actress .

Suzanne Roquette was born in 1942 as the daughter of the painter Kurt Roquette and spent the first years of her life in a forester's house in the Thuringian Forest . Because of the war, she and her family moved to Stuttgart . She first worked as a mannequin and photo model , before joining Peter Frankenfeld's 100 applicants as an assistant for his show Und Ihr Hobbypferd? selected. In doing so, she caught the attention of a television producer who offered her two smaller roles in television. In order to get closer to her goal of becoming an actress, she took acting lessons from Else Bongers in Berlin . At the beginning of her career, she was mainly seen in adventure and crime films, including the two Edgar Wallace films The Hunchback of Soho (1966) and The Monk with the Whip (1967). In Season 1 of Moon Base Alpha 1, she plays Main Mission Operative Tanya Alexander.

For the German teaching programs Karl and Christa and How please? she went to Great Britain in the mid-1970s. Since then, Roquette has mainly worked for British television. In 1989 she got a tiny role in the Steven Spielberg film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade , which later fell victim to the scissors in the cutting room. She died on May 28, 2020 in her adopted home England . Her son Bradley Larroquette works as an architect in London.
