In 1920 there was no official Czechoslovak football championship . The committee of the Bohemian Association ČSF (Český svaz footballový) decided in a meeting with 4: 3 votes against the hosting of a championship, since no spectator interest was to be expected. The games were played in the individual Gaume Championships, with the Central Bohemian League being the strongest, and the winner being regarded as the Czechoslovakian champions.

Before the season, the Gau Kladno ( Kladenská župa ) was dissolved and their teams integrated into the Central Bohemian Gau. The two strongest teams SK Kladno and SK Sparta Kladno took part in the twelve-club Central Bohemian League alongside ten teams from Prague and the surrounding area. Each club only played against each other once, the championship took place in the spring of 1920.
