The Czechoslovak Football Championship 1922 (officially: Mistrovství ČSSF ) was the first championship that was held with teams from all over Czechoslovakia . The Czech association was transformed into a Czechoslovakian one (ČSSF) on April 10, 1921, clearing the way for a nationwide competition. In 1919 a final round without Slovak teams had already taken place, in 1920 and 1921 the winner of the Central Bohemian League (Czech: Středočeská župa ), which was clearly superior to all others, was the unofficial champion.
The winners of the respective Gaume Championships took part in the final round. Sparta Prague , the champions of Central Bohemia, competed directly in the final because football in Prague was way ahead of that in other parts of the country at the time. Sparta won the final against SK Hradec Králové with 7-0.
A preliminary round was held for the three Slovakian clubs, the winner of which played in the third round against the winner of the Czech preliminary round for a place in the final against Sparta Prague . First, the Master of Eastern Slovakia met the Master of Central Slovakia. The winner of this duel played against the West Slovak champions. The winner of this game was in the third round.
In the Czech preliminary round, the master of West Bohemia met the master of Hanna. The East Bohemian champion played against the winner of the West Moravian championship. The winners of the two games met in the second round, the winner of this match then competed in the third round against the winner of the Slovak preliminary round.
