The Chechen Parliament ( Russian Парламент Чеченской Республики ) is the legislature in the Republic of Chechnya , which is a federal subject of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District . The chairman has been Magomed Daudov from the United Russia party since July 3, 2015 .
composition
The parliament consists of 41 members who are elected every five years by proportional representation by the electorate of Chechnya. In order to enter the Chechen parliament, an electoral list has to overcome a five percent hurdle . In the last election in 2016, the electoral lists of the parties United Russia , Just Russia and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation succeeded . There are ten committees including the Budget Committee and the Social Committee.

The representative of the Legislature of Chechnya in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation , the upper house of the Russian Parliament , has been Siyad Mukhamedovich Sabsabi since October 4, 2016 . Sulejman Sadulajewitsch Geremejew has been the representative of the executive branch since June 11, 2011 .
