The Tschuggen Hotel Group AG is a private hotel company with headquarters in Arosa , Canton Grisons, to which the Tschuggen Grand Hotel and Hotel Valsana in Arosa, the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz and the Hotel Eden Roc and Albergo Carcani in Ascona belong belong. It emerged from the Tschuggen Hotel Group's first hotel , the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa.

The Tschuggen Grand Hotel was bought by Karl-Heinz Kipp (1924–2017) in 1980 . The former Berghilf sanatorium, dating from 1929, was completely rebuilt after a major fire in 1966 and reopened as a hotel in 1970. Kipp made the house famous not least through the addition of the Tschuggen Bergoase by Mario Botta and the five-star hotel in Arosa is one of the leading hotels in the country.

In 1982, Kipp acquired the Valsana Hotel in Arosa, which was an addition as a sports hotel.

In 1988 the Carlton Hotel above Lake St. Moritz was bought as the last five-star hotel to open in St. Moritz in 1913 .

In 1989, the Kipp-Bechtolsheimer family acquired another five-star hotel, the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona, directly on the shores of Lake Maggiore . In 2000 and 2010, the capacities were increased through the acquisition of the neighboring former four-star hotel “ Europe au Lac ”and the former hotel“ Ascolago ”could be more than doubled and in this area they were renamed“ Eden Roc Marina ”.

In 2011 the former Mövenpick Hotel on the Piazza in Ascona was added and in 2012 it was reopened as a three-star hotel with the name Albergo Carcani.

In 2015, the demolition and reconstruction of the Valsana Hotel began, which was reopened as a completely new building at the end of 2017. It is the only hotel in Switzerland that has an ice storage system for heat and energy supply and thus ensures CO 2 -free operation.

The Tschuggen Hotel Group is regarded as the leading luxury hotel group in Switzerland. and three of the hotels are members of the 40 Swiss Deluxe Hotels and the international association of Leading Hotels of the World.
