Tshering Dorji (born September 10, 1993 in Ramjar , Trashiyangtse ) is a Bhutanese football player . He is one of the few Bhutanese internationals to have scored more than two goals for his country.

Career

Dorji started playing soccer in 2004 and was inspired by his father. In 2008 he signed with Transport United , one of the most renowned Bhutanese football clubs.

From 2012 to 2014 he played for the Ugyen Academy , where he was able to become a master for the first time in his career. In 2015 he moved to Thimphu City , where he was captain of his team in his two-year season, and he was also champion here in the 2016 season.

National team

He made his debut on March 12, 2011 against Sri Lanka . Against the same opponent, he scored the 1-0 winning goal on December 3, 2015 in the course of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup . It was Bhutan's first ever win in a World Cup qualification. He scored the remaining three goals in three games against the Maldives .
