Trashiyangtse ( གཡང་ ཙེ ) is in the northeast of the Kingdom of Bhutan situated district . The capital is the city of the same name Trashiyangtse . The district covers an area of ​​1437 km². 19,633 people live in it, in 3,416 households in 117 villages (2011). The area is very mountainous, the lowest point in the district is around 1000  m above sea level. NN , the highest at about 5400  m .
