Zhemgang ( གཞལམ་ སྒང་ རྫོང་ ཁག་ ; formerly: Shemgang) is one of the 20 districts ( dzongkhag ) of Bhutan . About 20,380 people (2011) live in this district. The Zhemgang area covers 2,421.7 km².

The capital of the district is the Zhemgang of the same name .
