Tsuchiya Bunmei
Tsuchiya Bunmei ( Japanese 土屋 文明 ; * September 18, 1890 Gunma Prefecture ; † December 10, 1990 ) was a Japanese poet he.
Tsuchiya studied philosophy at Tokyo University . He was a student of the poet Itō Sachio , who founded the Tanka magazine Araragi . After the death of his teacher, he took over the management of this magazine with Saitō Mokichi . For the volume of poetry Seinanshū ( 青 南 集 ) he received the 1967 Yomiuri Literature Prize . In addition to volumes of poetry (including Fuyukusa ( ふ ゆ く さ ), 1925, Ōkanshū ( 往還 集 ), 1930, Sankokushū ( 山谷 集 ), 1935) he published several books on the anthology of poetry Man'yōshū , which were published between 1949 and 1956 in a 20-volume edition Man'yōshū shichū ( 万 葉 集 私 注 ) were summarized.
In 1984 Tsuchiya was honored as a person with special cultural merits and was awarded the Cultural Order in 1986 .
