The Rivière au Bouleau ( bouleau French for birch ) is a tributary of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in the administrative region of Côte-Nord in the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière au Bouleau forms the outflow of Lac Bigot - about 60 km north of the south coast of the Labrador Peninsula . It flows in the far west of the MRC Minganie in a predominantly southern direction. In doing so, he cuts through the Canadian shield . About 65 km east of Sept-Îles it finally flows into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in the municipality of Rivière-au-Tonnerre . The Route 138 crosses the flow immediately before its mouth. The Rivière au Bouleau has a length of 87 km. Its catchment area covers 684 km². The mean discharge is 19 m³ / s. In the east the catchment area of the Rivière au Bouleau borders on that of the Rivière Tortue , and in the west on that of the Rivière Pigou .
