A figurehead of TuS Durmersheim was the volleyball department , which was founded in the 1960s by Helmut Klein. The men's team has marched through non-stop since the first match season in 1966/67 from the lowest (district class West) to the top division (Bundesliga) and established itself there until 1977. After a few steps backwards, the first men's team played after two brief appearances in the 1990s. Years from the mid-2000s in the second division . In 2015, the game rights and the team were handed over to SSC Karlsruhe for financial reasons .
Since the 2018/2019 season, no men's team from TuS Durmersheim has appeared in the North Baden volleyball association's play.
