Tulisa (born July 13, 1988 in Camden , London ; actually Tula Paulinea Contostavlos ; Greek Τούλα Παυλίνα Κοντόσταυλος ) is a British singer-songwriter and actress of Greek-Cypriot and Irish descent.
Career
Together with her cousin Dappy and their mutual friend Fazer, she founded the hip-hop band N-Dubz in 2000 . With the band she released three studio albums. After the band announced their breakup in March 2012, they released their first solo single Young on April 29, 2012 .
In the television series Dubplate Drama , she played the role of cocaine addict Laurissa between 2007 and 2009. She was a member of the jury of the British talent show The X Factor from 2011 to 2012 . In May 2010 she was voted 15th on the list of the 100 Sexiest Women in the World by FHM magazine and in 2012 she was named The Sexiest Woman in the World.
In her music career so far, she has released a studio album in December 2012. The title is The Female Boss . Three singles were released from this album. The most successful is Young , she reached number 1 in the charts in Great Britain and Scotland, and number 5 in Ireland. It was also released in the USA, but could not place itself. The last single Sight of You was released on December 2nd. She also writes her own songs.
