N-Dubz is a British hip hop group from London.
Band history
The trio consists of Dino Contostavlos , his cousin Tula Paulinea and Richard Rawson. Dino's father Byron was the bass player for Mungo Jerry in the 1970s and managed it in the early years. The three members went to a school in Camden Town together and began performing together. First they called themselves Lickle Rinsers Crew and adopted this name for their own label LRC, under which they released singles like Bad Man Riddim , Life Is Getting Sicker by the Day , You Better Not Waste My Time and I Swear . They gained greater fame through English pirate channels and the satellite channel Channel U , and with the latter two titles were also listed in the expanded UK charts in 2006, which entered the charts as the best-selling single of the respective months.
The following year they had their first official chart hit with Feva Las Vegas . Then bigger labels began to take an interest in them and with the re-release of Better Not Waste My Time on Polydor they came into the UK Top 40 for the first time . In 2007 they were named Newcomer of the Year at the MOBO Awards (Black Music Prize).
In 2008 she joined the label All Around the World and produced their debut album Uncle B . It entered the album charts at number 11.
On the tour for the album was in April 2009, the grime musician Tinchy Stryder appeared in the opening act. Together they released the single number 1 that same month , which gave them a joint number one placement .
