Tuna Serim

Tuna Serim (born January 5, 1950 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish journalist, television and radio presenter, novelist and screenwriter.

Life

Tuna Serim studied law in Istanbul from 1966 to 1968 without a degree. She began her career at the Journal Tercüman , where she first worked as a correspondent and then as a curator . In 1974 she wrote the screenplay for the television film Geçmiş Zaman Elbiseleri (The Dresses of the Past), which was based on a template by Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar and which the Turkish director Metin Erksan , who won the Golden Bear in 1964 for the film Summer Without Water in Berlin had received, turned for the station TRT . From 1981 she wrote as editor-in-chief for Hayat and in the same year headed the Ses magazine and the Hayat Resimli novel series. In 1986 she went to the media group Karacan and became editor-in-chief of the women's magazine Kadın, the magazine of the Turkish Airlines magazine and Pop Bravo. In 1992 she started working on television, prepared and presented Turkey's first discussion program, Stüdyoda Buluşalım (Treffpunkt Studio). When the channel Kanal D opened, she initiated and organized the women's magazine Canlan Biraz (A Little Life). In 1995 she designed the program Tartışma büyüyor (The debate is rising) and in 1996 the discussion program Açık Kapılar (Open Doors) on Kanal D and moderated both programs. Between 1997 and 2008 she offered four different programs on Istanbul FM and Radio 34. She prepared and presented the following programs: 1997 the TV program Kadının sesi (The Voice of the Woman), between 1997 and 1999 on TV channel 9 the programs Açik Görüş (The Open View), Stüdyoda Buluşalim (Meeting Point Studio) and between 2001 and in 2002 the Yaşam Kalitesi (Quality of Life) programs and, for the health channel, the Mediametre and Cerrah Çelebinin Anıları (Memories of Cerrah Çelebi) panel discussion . Since 2001, Tuna Serim has been primarily devoted to novel writing and belongs to the group of the most widely read female novelists in Turkey.

Tuna Serim is married to the former director of the TV company TRT 2 and today's author Ömer Serim.
